(This was the very first song I had written in Spanish and later translated into English. Written in Costa Rica(1990) as I saw the heartache in people's lives because of the widespread practice of infidelity.)

THE SHELL

God has shown me, I must give up this shell I´ve had many years. But I´m afraid if I do, I´ll shed many more tears. It was from the cries of my heart that moved me to change my innocent way. What will happen if I now give my shell away?
This shell makes me feel safe inside, but a part of me has died,
instead of living I´ve chosen to hide.

Can I let myself go, to the people I know? If I´m soft and tender what deeds to me will be rendered? Will they take my trust and betray the way it happened in my childhood days. How can I give my shell away, when there´s so much fear in the way, when it´s easier to just run away?

Matthew 10:28-31,39 NIV version. Jesus singing:
¨Don´t be afaid of those who kill the body, but cannot kill the soul, rather be afaid of the one who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a penny, yet not one of them falls to the ground, apart from the will of your Father, apart from the will of your Father. speaking: I now know, why God said my shell must go.
If in my world I´m the center, how is there room for Jesus to enter.
He can help with past and present pain,
in all the places of my life where He freely reigns.

It seems to me, a good place for advice, is the book that God himself says is a guiding light. We discover treasures that bring the soul to rest
So instead of being down we have to tell how much we´re blessed.(Take the test)

Do you want a life with peace? and evil in your heart to cease?
Truth will be spoken to you! And you´ll have better attitudes

(To tell you the truth, it scares me to think of a person living their entire life without reading at least the New Testament of the Bible even once. My favorite book is the Gospel of John.)

Sometimes for no reason at all, I can´t contain my happiness
It´s strange that I can feel this way, cause I´ve been put to the test.
If one could see my trials in life, I could be pitied by man.
But there´s something I have that can´t be seen, I´ve been touched by heaven.

The Lord has been so good to me. He´s made changes I never dreamed could be.
1. My spirit is clean, I think of beautiful things
2. There´s a sense of well-being, with wonderful feelings
3. I feel so high, with no drugs inside. When I feel Him close to me.

I´ll tell you ´bout my emptiness in many days gone by
I tried to fill it my own way because of my foolish pride
Then I said, no more, I´m going to serve the Lord, and leave my life of sin,
That´s the moment I started to live and feel His Love growing within.

The fight never stops, cause my flesh cries for control
But I only have this exhuberance when I give God my all.

This song was written when it looked like it I would never be well again. I can still remember times when I felt so weak in body, but was astonished with the LIFE I could feel in my spirit. I hear people say that if you have your health, you have everything. I can´t agree with them. My experience taught me this, I would rather have the Lord and be sickly, rather than have health but be spiritually lifeless inside.

Jesus is the melody, and if you´d sing harmony, You´d find God´s love and strength for a heart that´s tired. If you hold nothing to yourself, and lay bitterness on the shelf. This song will lead your life one step higher.

2. I wish I could sing you a song to help you perserver. Or sing a soothing tune to calm past and present fears. To sing with such annointing that would heal your incurable disea4se. A song to help you become all your meant to be.

3. There´s a composer who write´s such songs, to make the heart leap and dance.
His lyrics inspire marital romance. Just to hear him sing, makes you want to love more. And gives courage to try good things not tried before.

Jesus is the singer of that song, only Jesus can sing that song. Open your heart, and let him start to sing your song. Jesus sing your song!!!!!

(I wrote this song in 1996 during a time of several years when I could hardly sing because of health difficulties. One morning I began to sing ¨I wish I could sing…¨ with my hoarse, raspy voice. Years later, I once again am having the joy of sharing my songs with others!)

WHAT´S THE WORTH OF THE GOSPEL?

Should we stop when we are put into chains,or when we feel the torment of constant pain?

I ask you,what´s the worth of the gospel? Is it worth leaving family and friends? Moving to a land where you have to learn to speak all over again
Called to people who don´t accept you as one of them.
Well I´ve had to make my decision of what the gospel means to me.

It´s worth giving our lives, it´s worth our time. It´s worth sharing the gospel.
God´s plan of salvation, brings healing to a nation.It´s worth, sharing ...

It´s message changes lives, and gives peace when we die.It´s worth, sharing ...
There´s not a greater find, than this gift to all mankind. It´s worth sharing...

Bridge) It´s something we can´t ignore, it must be shared more
At times the price is high, but the end is nigh!
It´s worth giving our lives, it´s worth our time, it worth sharing....

Now you´ve got to decide, what´s the worth of the gospel? Can you know it´s beauty and keep it hid? How much of yourself, are you willing to give? What´s your value for someone to eternally live?

What does it mean to you, you´ve got to choose, with it what will you do?

(While we were ministering in the Canary Islands, it looked like I would suffer the rest of my life because of illnesses that came about because of poor medical treatment in these islands. In my times of suffering, I really had to examine my heart to see if indeed it was worth even giving up one´s health for the gospel.)

GOD WANTS US TO SHARE HIS HEART FOR THE WORLD (on English Album only)

I´ve served God in many ways, and lived in lands far away, I´ve known people from many a nation.
It´s become clear to me, God wants desperately, for us to do all we can to share his plan of salvation.

Will we share, will we care, or even dare to dare, to love as Jesus loves the world.
Will we try, say here am I, or make cheap alibies, for why we don´t spread God´s word.
If we stay, will we pray and send others on the way, to touch the lost far away.

Oh can´t we see, the time is short, at work is the enemy, He wants us to be blinded, rather than to be reminded
God wants us to share His heart for the world.

You´ve got to know, there are places, where all you see are empty faces and Christian churches are not around. You can look high and low, but no matter where you go, you´ll find there´s not one believer in an entire town.

(I was teaching the class of the Gospel of John in the Bible School at Spain. I was so impressed in all of the prophecies that Jesus fulfilled. It is so clear that HE was the one sent from God to redeem man. I just had to write ¨I´ll Serve You Forever,¨ to refute the idea which is heard everywhere that all religions lead to the same God.)
